After decades of living in the shadow of its better-known neighbor Emerson College, Suffolk University is seeing record enrollment after fully embracing its status as the more affordable but lower-quality offering by changing its name to “Temu Emerson”.
“We’re hoping that students of Temu Emerson, or Temuson for short, will no longer complain of being shortchanged, duped, or underwhelmed by their higher educational experience because, thanks to this stroke of genius in brand awareness, they’ll finally realize what they’re getting into from the start,” said a marketing director at the agency who pitched the rebrand.
“We’re hoping Temuson will be to Emerson what Northeastern is to Northwestern.”
